Mark the dates in your diary and get your appetite ready for the return of Savour The Tweed, Australia's favourite new food and drink event, back to excite tastebuds this spring, from Wednesday 22 October to Sunday 26 October 2025.

Co-curated by Tweed-based chef and author Christine Manfield and local food advocate Amy Colli, Savour The Tweed brings an expanded program of 35 irresistible events that not only taste good but have connection at their core, from the important link between farmers and chefs to deep respect for First Nations storytellers and the joy that comes from sharing delicious and carefully prepared food and drink with friends and family.

This year, expect more of everything, including dynamic collaboration events between Tweed food heroes and familiar culinary names, including proud Bundjalung chef Mindy Woods, chef Martin Boetz of Brisbane's Shortgrain Restaurant, Spanish chef Frank Camorra of Movida in Melbourne and popular author and television presenter Belinda Jeffrey, along with The Tweed's very own Christine Manfield.

Culinary Collaborations

Savour the magic that happens when fresh produce is paired with culinary expertise and dynamic collaborations at these headline events that fuse flavour and storytelling in creative ways.

At award-winning Bistro Livi in Murwillumbah, A Taste of Spain in The Tweed brings Melbourne's iconic Frank Camorra of Movida to The Tweed for a Spanish-inspired six-course tasting menu celebrating produce-led elegance, while Thai cuisine expert Martin Boetz, of Shortgrain Restaurant fame, joins forces with the Farm & Co Restaurant team to serve a Thai Feast in The Tweed, a punchy shared lunch using fresh, organic farm-grown ingredients in a beautiful farm setting.

Don't miss the famed Girl Gang Chefs Collab Lunch, a signature powerhouse event at Pipit in Pottsville, showcasing four dynamic female chefs and four local female producers in a flavour-filled celebration of food, storytelling and leadership in regional hospitality, nurturing the next generation of culinary talent.

Fresh Food, Friendly Markets & Farm Flavours 

For those who love to meet farmers and makers and eat close to the source, Savour The Tweed serves up immersive food experiences grounded in the distinctive Northern NSW landscape.

Start your festival time at the Murwillumbah Farmers Market, a weekly Wednesday institution, for Tweed Tasting Trail, a self-guided market trail that opens the festival, with local food tastings and live cooking demonstrations from regular stallholders.

At Clothiers Creek's Raven Place Farm don't miss Harvest & Handmade, featuring a guided farm walk to learn about this remarkable regenerative farm, followed by a Japanese gyoza making session and farm-made condiments to take home.

Pasture to Plate - An Artisan Pasta Evening invites you to the lush Woodland Valley Farm for a sunset pasta-making experience featuring the farm's pasture-raised eggs and a 2-course dinner served with Italian varietal wines and a stunning valley backdrop.

Get amongst local market ambience at Kingscliff and Tyalgum, where you'll find a laidback blend of local producers, street eats, designer wares, handmade goods and warm community vibes.

Connecting with Culture and Country through Food

Join renowned Bundjalung chef Mindy Woods and culinary icon Christine Manfield for Walking Together, a deeply moving dinner experience that blends First Nations and Indian food cultures, with native ingredients, song, dance and storytelling - a powerful evening that is both a feast and a call to connection and reconciliation. Featuring a Welcome to Country and performance by Banaam cultural dancers with a 3-course dinner and Birds of Isle Bunya Nut Rum cocktails.

The Gidjuum Gulganyi Walk, meaning Old People's Track in local Bundjalung language, is a four-day, three-night hike starting in Uki and traversing through Mt Jerusalem and Nightcap National Parks - this very special Savour The Tweed departure with Connect Adventures includes a wilderness journey through Gondwana rainforest and first night campfire dinner by Bundjalung Chef Mindy Woods, featuring native foraged ingredients and an evening to foster deep cultural respect.

Family-Friendly Food Fun 

Young foodies aren't left out, with Savour The Tweed events designed to delight curious kids and families looking for immersive, healthy fun.

Fun cooking demonstrations at the Murwillumbah Farmers Market offer an educational and tasty start to the day for budding young chefs while Hosanna Farmstay in Stokers Siding welcomes kids aged 5–10 to join a tasty pizza-making class, learning to roll dough, pick toppings and explore the animal-friendly farm while their creations bake.

Location, Location! 

Celebrating the diverse and distinctive natural beauty of The Tweed region, these location-themed events blend food, storytelling and stunning backdrops.

For a different perspective of the popular Northern Rivers Rail Trail, pop the walking shoes and bikes to the side and settle in for a Brunch by the Platform, a leisurely morning event beneath the trees at the Murwillumbah Railway Station, the trail head, with pastries, fresh fruit, tea and coffee and live music.

Set sail for Golden Hour on the River, a sunset journey with Tweed Eco Cruises aboard the Golden Swan, featuring fresh, local mud crab banh mi rolls, bush-flavour inspired ice cream, local artisan cheeses by Deb Allard and a live acoustic performance by Goodjinburra musician and rising star Birren Slabb.

Masterclasses & Cooking Demos

Don't miss Snowy's Seafood Masterclass with legendary chef Steven Snow of Fins Restaurant in Kingscliff as he shares a lifetime of seafood expertise in this demo-style class, ideal for anyone looking to build confidence with seafood at home.

In riverside Tumbulgum, Le Cordon Bleu chef and nutritionist Samantha Gowing hosts Food As Medicine at Husk Distillery, a nourishing cooking demo blending culinary knowledge and wellness insights with local ingredients, plus a botanical gin cocktail to finish.

Take a deep dive into the sugar-to-rum journey with local millers and Birds of Isle Rum distillers Sally Carter and Chanel Melani for Cane Country Taste Makers in Condong, a tutored rum tasting and cocktail-making workshop with custom-made snacks from Bar Heather chef Thofan Boontham.

Coffee Culture - From Bean to Brew

Coffee lovers are in for a treat at Bastion Lane Espresso Bar in Uki, where local legends Zeta Grealy, of Zeta's Coffee, and Bastion Lane's Gary Wall collaborate for From Bean to Cup - The Farmer to the Roaster, a tasting workshop exploring The Tweed's bean-growing history, with pastries from Apex Dining and Bread Social.

For the Love of Coffee, a coffee cupping and tasting session, invites you to step into the aromatic world of specialty coffee with Old Quarter Coffee Roasters in Murwillumbah, learning tasting tips and sampling a range of Southeast Asian beans, served with buttery croissants from Ben's Patisserie.

Sip Well, Speak Easy - Pairings Made in Flavour Heaven 

A three-way creative collab brings together cheesemaker Kat Harvey, Grit Ceramics' Leia Sherblom and brewer Nick Loeve of Caldera Brewing for Cheese, Clay & Culture in Murwillumbah - think cheese and beer pairings, live pottery wheel demos and a handmade tasting plate to take home.

The Natural World: Terroir & Taste is an intimate wine and antipasti pairing event at the Natural Wine Shop & Bar in Burringbar, led by owner Bron Harrison and Italian chef Daniela Maiorano, featuring Indigenous and local winemakers and a focus on storytelling through wine and place.

Don't miss the clandestine Speak Easy Secret Supper Club, a one-night-only cocktail and canapé affair at the Tweed Regional Museum in Murwillumbah, hosted inside its prohibition-era themed exhibition, including a gin cocktail, canape bites and guided exhibition tour.

Meet Kyle Goodwin of Knucklehead Wines at Rob Roy Deli & Drinks and sample his standout Granite Belt wines paired with delicious deli bites at Sips & Snacks - Meet the Winemaker, a down-to-earth, flavour-forward tasting masterclass with plenty of chat and cheer.

Delicious Conversations, Where Food Meets Ideas

Food Sovereignty will be a powerful panel session exploring caring for Country, regenerative farming, ethical food systems and native food sovereignty, featuring Kyle Slabb, Michele Stephens, Pam Brook, Josh Lewis and other local leaders and moderated by Magdalena Roze - a must for foodies, producers and sustainability changemakers.

Cake, tea and true connection is the promise for Conversations & Cake in Burringbar with beloved cookbook author Belinda Jeffery and acclaimed chef Christine Manfield. Settle in for a cosy morning of stories, food writing insights and homemade bakes. Expect big heart, hot tea and take-home tips from two food friends at the top of their game.

World Class - Globally Inspired, Locally Grown

Take your tastebuds to the Iberian Peninsula for a lively Iberian Dinner Party at Potager in Carool, where Portuguese chef Luis do Carmo and Spanish chef Pepe Garcia join forces for a bold, fire-kissed feast of petiscos, paella and panache.

At Arabian Nights in Pottsville, break bread, share plates and revel in the generosity of Middle Eastern food at a laidback community dinner at Black Drop Café with cafe owner James Attard and chef Andy MacDonald plus local producers like Shroom Bros delivering a menu that's big on flavour, hospitality and celebration.

Get swept away by sunshine flavours and seaside vibes at Cabarita's No.35 Kitchen & Bar for a Mediterranean Island Lunch, where chef Dan Medcalf teams up with Massimo Scalas (Salumi Australia) and Rob Constanza (Nomadic Kitchen) to serve a Sardinian-style seafood feast with focaccia, fregola and lemon sorbet.

Dinner Parties and Long Lunches

Settle in at Tweed River House in Murwillumbah for Spring Tides & Terroir Long Lunch, a refined six-course celebration of local produce championing sea, soil and regional expression, expertly paired with iconic Art Series wines from Leeuwin Estate.

At Tropical Fruit World's Fire & Forage, savour an open-air fire feast under festoon lights and a macadamia orchard canopy; with Wal Foster, Augustin Gonzalez and Armando Enriqez Icaza serving up a banquet of wild game and seafood cooked over flame, finished with foraged fruit ice cream and paired with fascinating stories and farm flavours.

Step into the seductive Husk Barrel House for Rum Parlour, an atmospheric dinner party featuring Husk Rum cocktails and a three-course menu by Jason Saxby (Raes at Wategos) with Husk's own culinary team led by head Chef Pepsi - think fine dining meets distillery spirit.

Take a seat at Taste The Wild, a one-night-only dinner inside Ventura Brewing, where chef Jay Elbrihi creates a bold multi-course menu, pairing wild flavours with creative craft brews - it's fermentation, fire and foraged flavour all in one delicious sitting.

Seafood legend Steven Snow and his Fins team present Wood-Fired Seafood Long Table Lunch, a seven-dish wood-fired feast in Kingscliff using wild catch seafood and native ingredients cooked over fruitwood sourced from Tropical Fruit World at an unforgettable long table coastal lunch.

Time to Party - Sip, Snack, Sing and Dance

At Wollumbin Sunset Cocktails Apex Dining welcomes you for a golden hour cocktail party, perched high beside the Tweed Regional Gallery with stunning Wollumbin views. Expect signature drinks, chef-led canapés and live music, with an exclusive Gallery viewing before the party begins.

The grand finale of Savour The Tweed is Caldera Celebrations, held on the sprawling lawns of Plantation House, set high with panoramic vistas across The Tweed. A family-friendly, food-filled Sunday session led by local chef David Moyle with Farm & Co Restaurant, your finale ticket includes DJs, snack bars, signature drinks, lawn games and hosted kids' activities - dancing is optional, but highly recommended!
