Sydney, Australia – Virgin Australia and Visit Victoria are giving travellers a new way to make the most of their night with the launch of Last Flight Club - a one-night only experience flying Sydneysiders to Melbourne and back again before breakfast.
Taking off on Thursday 7 August, Last Flight Club redefines the classic night out by transforming the final Virgin Australia flight from Sydney to Melbourne into the start of a curated evening filled with food, sport, and live music.
From a private DJ set by Client Liaison in the Virgin Australia Lounge upon arrival, to exclusive access to some of Melbourne's most iconic late-night venues, guests will get a taste of the city that keeps its energy going long after dark.
“Last Flight Club is about showing what's possible when you turn a regular flight into something extraordinary,” said Virgin Australia Chief Marketing Officer, Libby Minogue. “With Virgin Australia, it's not just about the destination – it's about how we help travellers create memorable moments along the way.”
Recognised as Australia's leading city for late-night experiences, Melbourne continues to grow its after-hours offering – from bars and galleries to sport and street culture – creating a destination that invites you to arrive late and stay out even later. In fact, 39 per cent of Australians rate Melbourne as the best city for late-night experiences, the highest of any Australian city, and that number rises to 46 per cent among high-income earners.
“While other cities wind down, we're just getting started – with a mix of culture, sport and hospitality that's unmatched across the country,” said Visit Victoria CEO Brendan McClements.
“This incredible itinerary highlights all the best bits of Victoria, showcasing the passion, creativity and diversity that makes our State 'Every bit different'.”
Last Flight Club also hints at more exciting announcements to come from Virgin Australia, as the airline prepares to launch new ways for Australians to travel differently, and make the most of every hour – day or night.
