Coral Expeditions

Coral Expeditions announces limited stateroom availability on two new epic voyages onboard Coral Adventurer to discover Australia's dramatic and hard-to-reach coastline: Across the Top of Australia: Cairns to Fremantle, and Great Southern Shores: Fremantle to Sydney. These two first-time expeditions offer guests a rare opportunity to see vast expanses of the remarkably diverse Australian coastline, its culture and wildlife, either a discovery of the remote saltwater country of the north or the rugged beauty of the southern coast.

Limited availability remains on both legs, which together make up the Australia Circumnavigation voyage, departing Cairns in October this year.

ACROSS THE TOP OF AUSTRALIA: CAIRNS TO FREMANTLE

Guests explore the Great Barrier Reef, Cape York, Arnhem Land, The Kimberley, and the West Coast over 26 nights.

17 October, 2025 – 12 November, 2025.

Guest Lecturers on the trip include Ian Morris, Goyma Gondarra, Quentin Chester and Dale Arnott.

Australia's north-east coast is a showcase of natural beauty and cultural richness. Guests journey through the pristine waters of the Great Barrier Reef, home to vibrant marine life and remote sand cays. Continuing north to Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands, guests will encounter deep First Nations traditions and spectacular scenery with visits to historical and cultural sites with guidance from local rangers. Next, the voyage traverses the remote Kimberley coast, a land of dramatic rock formations, hidden gorges, and thriving wildlife. Guests can discover ancient rock art, marvel at towering 80-metre sandstone cliffs, and snorkel among colourful coral reefs.

Rates are from $26,990 per person on a twin share basis.

GREAT SOUTHERN SHORES: FREMANTLE TO SYDNEY

Guests discover the Great Australian Bight, Coffin Bay, Launceston and the Twelve Apostles over 20 nights.

13 November, 2025 – 3 December, 2025

Guest Lecturers include Quentin Chester, Dale Arnott, Steve Winderlich and Anne O'Dea

Australia's southern coastline offers a spectacular blend of rugged natural beauty, rich maritime heritage, endemic wildlife - from coastal kangaroos and little penguins to migrating whales and rare sea dragons - and the renowned culinary delights of South Australia, Victoria, and Tasmania. Guests will visit the sought-after Leeuwin Estate winery in Busselton, savour fresh oysters in Coffin Bay, sample fine wines in southern wine country, and indulge in wild abalone on Flinders Island. Along the way, the ship cruises past dramatic landmarks like the towering Bunda Cliffs and the iconic Twelve Apostles on this rewarding journey.

Rates start at $19,000 per person on a twin share basis.

Coral Expeditions Chief Executive Officer Mark Fifield said the two epic voyages – roughly half each of the 60-day circumnavigation of Australia – were a great way for guests to discover large sections of the nation's diverse coastline and interiors.

“We have just a few staterooms still available on the Australian Circumnavigation voyage departing Cairns in October, so we thought these two, northern and southern cruises, offered a good option for guests who have already travelled part of the coast on past trips, or for those who were short on time,” Mr Fifield said.

“These two voyages offer a great way for guests to share the rich exploring spirit of the Circumnavigation with all the wonderful experiences onboard and onshore on a smaller scale,” he said.
