Geelong's waterfront will come alive with world class cycling, live music and family fun this October as the free SpinOff festival rolls into town for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships Team Relay.  

This free celebration of music and cycling, held on Friday 17 October, features headline performances from popular folk duo the Pierce Brothers and the high-energy funk and soul band The Bamboos, with support from local artists Hassall and Farah. Add to the mix family fun for all ages including face painting, a silent disco and food trucks and it's the perfect day out for all ages.

Stroll along the vibrant waterfront, pop into Geelong Gallery to view the Archibald Prize 2025, explore the Federal Mills precinct or grab a coffee along bustling Pakington Street (King of the Castle is a top pick).  

Cycling enthusiasts can take on the 35km Bellarine Rail Trail passing farmland, coastline and a heritage railway or over 50 kilometres of thrilling mountain bike trails at the You Yangs Regional Park.

The SpinOff action kicks off at 4:00pm with the free Hendry's SpinOff Family Ride (for ages 3+), where members of the public are invited to ride around the 1.92km World Championship circuit along Hearne Parade.

This is followed by the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships Team Relay, where teams of four navigate the 1.92km anti-clockwise criterium course, with every twist and turn testing their skills. 

SpinOff is presented by the City of Greater Geelong. The relay is part of the UCI Grand Fondo World Championships, which runs from Wednesday 15 – Sunday 19 October. The Championships culminate in Lorne on Sunday 19 October, with a 131km round road race. The UCI Gran Fondo World Championships is the pinnacle road cycling event for masters and amateurs, attracting riders from around the world.
