THE LAST SHIP

Making its Southern Hemisphere debut and marking the opening of QPAC's new Glasshouse Theatre, acclaimed musical The Last Ship sails into Brisbane. Inspired by Sting's own childhood and starring the music icon himself, this deeply personal production, written and composed by Sting, tells the story of a tight-knit community grappling with the closure of its lifeblood: the local shipyard.
Drawing from his upbringing in a shipbuilding town, Sting reflects on the push-and-pull of leaving home to chase bigger dreams, and the realisation that returning and giving back are just as important.

NRL MAGIC ROUND
Milton
NRL Magic Round returns to Brisbane, delivering four days of non-stop Rugby League as the city hosts the world's biggest celebration of the game. It's the only weekend of the season where every NRL match is played live at one venue, alongside Game II of the Ampol Women's State of Origin.
From Thursday night kick-off to Sunday's final whistle, Suncorp Stadium is the epicentre of wall-to-wall footy, live music, fan activations and all-ages entertainment, with Brisbane buzzing on and off the field. With demand high and limited tickets remaining for select days, Magic Round is one of the must-see sporting events of 2026.
